Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how My Liahona collects, uses, and protects information on our marketing website at myliahona.app. This policy is separate from the privacy policy that governs the My Liahona application itself, which is available at app.myliahona.app/privacy. We collect only what we need and never sell your personal information.

What we collect on this site

  • Phone number — when you opt in to SMS launch notifications, so we can verify your number via a 'YES' text reply and send a one-time launch alert.
  • Mobile platform preference (iOS, Android, or Both) — so we only text you about the platforms you actually want.
  • Email address — when you sign up for email updates or contact us.
  • Basic, anonymized usage data — to understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • Contact form submissions — when you reach out for support or questions.

SMS notifications (Twilio)

We use Twilio to deliver SMS messages. When you submit your phone number, we send a text asking you to reply 'YES' so we know it's really you. Once verified, we store your phone number and platform preference securely so we can send a single launch notification. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency: typically one message per platform launch. Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help, or contact us through our contact page.

Email updates (Resend)

We use Resend to deliver email. When you submit your email address, we store it securely and send you occasional updates about new features, study tools, and mobile app launches. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.

How we use your information

  • To send the SMS launch notification you requested
  • To send email updates you opted in to
  • To respond to contact and support requests
  • To understand site usage and improve the experience
  • We do not sell your personal information
  • We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing

Data retention

Verification codes are stored only briefly (10-minute expiry) and then deleted. Phone numbers, platform preferences, and email addresses are retained until you ask us to remove them or until they are no longer needed for the purpose you signed up for. You can request deletion at any time.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out of further messages
  • Reply HELP to any SMS for assistance
  • Click the unsubscribe link in any email to stop email updates
  • Contact us at any time to request deletion of your phone number or email

Cookies and analytics

We aim to use privacy-respecting analytics that do not track you across the web. If we use cookies, they are for essential site functionality or privacy-conscious analytics only.

App privacy

This policy covers myliahona.app (this marketing site) only. Use of the My Liahona application itself — including account data, study history, and AI interactions — is governed by the application's own privacy policy at app.myliahona.app/privacy.
